Our annual trip to the homeland got postponed this year so we missed the Minnesota State Fair but got to see the Great Minnesota Winter. Stieg really took the winter weather. We also had a great time at a huge indoor water park in Minneapolis.
Recently had the opportunity to shoot the cover story for San Francisco's Bob Cut Magazine. It was a fun collaboration with their crew. Kenyatta Jones did all the amazing wardrobe styling.
Here's what Bob Cut has to say:
When our editors set out to write, photograph, and produce a story—we aim to educate, inform, and distribute a serious amount of knowledge. This is including (but not limited to) the locals we've covered in past stories. Headlining the cover is the coveted Class of 2017—these were the locals we chose that fully represented a Bay Area we could all live in. Whether creating jobs, selling dream products, or even opening a brick-and-mortar in this rental climate—we wanted to honor this.
Bob Cut Issue 5 is here.
Was recycling an old ink jet printer the other day. I decided to salvage the ink and have a little fun with a light table. Already thinking about doing this again.
Our Chinatown Street Photography Crew has been stalking this elusive pig truck for months. It was spotted a long time ago as it was leaving a location on Stockton Street. Most of us thought it just a myth told to use by our elders. Then, just when you stop believing, a man walks past you with half a pig on his shoulder and faith is restored.
Shot on a Bronica 645 on Kodak Portra.
I don't usually shoot weddings, but when I do...
Erin, Benjamin and I spent much of the afternoon running around Lower Haight and Nob Hill, San Francisco being funny tourists after their elopement in Pacifica. It was great fun. Thanks for the afternoon.
I spent some time in the studio recently with Thea Chalmers. We played around with her collection of found bird nests and assorted props. It was fun showing the intricate details in some of the nests.
