1966 Vespa VBC Super 150

So this is my new project.  It's a 1966 Vespa VBC Super 150 that I bought from my Uncle Mike.  It seems like almost everything on it is still stock so I'm going to do my best to keep it that way when I clean it up.  Interestingly the title for the Vespa actually says it's a 1967 but I ran the body serial number on www.scooterhelp.com and it came back as a 1966.

I'm going to try to document my process of fixing the bike up.  This is the first time I've tried to take a project like this on and I'm sure it's going to take a while so please bare with me.  If you want to subscribe to just the bike rebuild here's a link for that.

This is where it stands right now.  When it was dropped off it wouldn't start.  The fuel was below the main fuel tap but there was still enough in the tank that it should be drawing from the reserve.  The bike had been sitting for about a year.  I put some fresh gas in her and she started up on the fourth kick and ran for about 45 seconds before flooding out.

I've been letting the plug dry out and trying to start it again but it always does the same thing and floods out.  It seems like my very first step is going to be to rebuild the carburetor.
